THE AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL DRUZE CONVENTION
In 1993, the Druzes in Australia celebrated one-hundred years of Druze existence in Australia. Their aim was to unite the Druzes of the world so that Druzes could travel from country to country, as they travel from state to state in America and always find themselves among family. The Druzes are truly unique. There is no other faith, nor group so closely united as the Druzes, at home and abroad.
THE AMERICAN DRUZE SOCIETY ANNUAL CONVENTION
In America, the Druzes held their first annual convention in 1947, and this event has continued until the present time. This is the time for the Druzes from all the states, as well as many from other countries to gather and renew old friendships, and pursue new relationships from among the Conventioneers. Each year, the Convention meets in a different state, and the local Druze Society of the state hosts the Convention.
THE MINI CONVENTION FOR THE YOUTH
In Detroit, Michigan over the Thanksgiving weekend in 1999, the Michigan Chapter of the American Druze Society held a three day mini convention for the Druze youth in the United States. The success of this event vibrated throughout the United States and Canada, and this year, 2004, the mini convention will meet for the forth time, again, during the Thanksgiving weekend and in Detroit, Michigan. Each year, the Druze youth from all the United States and Canada come and meet each other and form lasting friendships. A number have married, and there are a few couples who are engaged. They all met at the annual Mini Convention in Detroit, Michigan.
